60. Thanked: 26. Hi guys, first time on this forum and hoping for a bit of insight. I was recently introduced to the infamous 'suspension fault - normal ride height only' amber warning light in my 07 TDV6 S (135 000 kms). We were trvelling through Lesotho in the holidays, on a pretty rough road (+/-grade 3) and the first 'bong'/message and
Only time I've got that message was when driving up the highway with a flat tyre. Suspension was attempting to compensate for difference in vehicle ride height. Stopped and pumped up tyre and everything returned to normal (had to replace tyre next day though). The suspension fault message was the only way that I knew there was something wrong.
8. Dec 30, 2014. #1. My Discovery 3. No doubt this has mentioned previously. I have been occasionally getting an amber warning lght coming up with a script of Normal Height Suspension only (or similar to that). It may not appear for a few days and then will pop up as I am driving along. The suspension when the light is not on is fine.
2/5: C1A05 (Again) Rear left height sensor. 3/5: C1A07 (Again) Cross articulation. 4/5: C112F (Again) Air spring valve. 5/5: C1130 (Again) Air spring air supply. However, there were these additional codes under new categories, different codes but all with a similar message: Each was under a different group including ABS, SRS, Ride level control
Remove the air suspension relay and put a jumper in and pump it up to the height you want . The car must be running and whe you get to the height you want switch off and remove the jumper wire and the 60 amp fuse. The car will drive with out lowering. Look it is easy. Remember remove the fuse and the relay.
The suspension has now completely died: "Suspension Fault - Max 30 mph", and no height mode LEDs at all. Plus the car sits at sort of a funny angle. Driving it, there is no damping at all: it's like driving a rollercoaster. The garage auto-emailed me a message that the heaed technician is out until Wednesday. We will see tomorrow.

This light then went permanent and the suspension system fully deflated. The result was a “low rider” look and quite a bouncy ride. The system would warn of a suspension fault and say that “Normal Ride Height Only”. I live in northwestern Montana and the nearest Range Rover dealership is 230 miles and 4.0 hours away in Spokane, Washington.
2005 Disco 3. V8 SE. On start up, the message centre says HDC fault, system not available. this happened this morning and once 2 weeks ago. it dissappears immediately and if I engage and disengage hdc manually, there seems do be no issues, no faults, no errors.
I started to intermittently get the Amber suspension fault warning, with the lights going out on the suspension controls with inability to change height mode. This has been going on now for about 6 months but it is happening more increasingly with more of the Red warning coming on occasionally also (says drive at max 30 miles an hour but doesn
